St. Louis Police investigate officer involved shooting at 14th Street MetroLink Civic Center Transit Center

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Saint Louis Police have requested the Force Investigative Unit in the 400 block of South 14th Street for a shooting involving a City of St. Louis Sheriff.

A suspect was shot and injured, the deputy was not hurt. Police are not releasing any other information.

Due to the investigation at the Mertolink station on 14th Street. MetroLink trains and buses were being rerouted, but are now providing normal service to Civic Center Transit Center

This is one of several shootings a very violent Wednesday afternoon.

There was a call for a shooting in the 21-hundred block of Bissell, so far there's no details on this incident.

Then around 5:15 pm, a 15-year old was shot, and another male shot. no age given, at Grand and Emily.

In South City, a male was shot and injured in the 31-hundred block of Osage.

Downtown at 14th and Clark, a 20-year old was shot in the chest. There is no word on his condition. Police have not said if this is same incident involving a St. Louis City Sheriff.

St. Louis Police say an investigation is underway after a firearms instructor was accidentally shot in the hand Wednesday afternoon.

It happened at the SLMPD gun range while the officer was providing instruction to another law enforcement agency.

The officer's injuries are not life threatening.
