ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis-area hospitals are seeking your input on the biggest health care concerns in your community.
Every three years, health systems across the United States must conduct a Community Health Needs Assessment -- allowing the people they serve the chance to pinpoint the biggest needs facing their community.
"We can have a bigger and broader impact if we do them together," said Karen Bradshaw, Director of Community Health for SSM Health in the St. Louis region. "Right now, we are in a process and we have what we call the St. Louis Hospital Collaborative, and that's with our partners at Children's Mercy Hospital, BJC Healthcare, Mercy, St. Luke's, Shriner's for Children and SSM Health. We are collectively doing a Community Health Needs Assessment."
Bradshaw says the survey is extremely helpful for the hospitals.
"It really helps guides where and what we will be focusing on in our community health efforts," said Bradshaw.
Bradshaw says the survey only takes a few minutes to fill out online. The deadline to complete the survey is the end of this month.
