ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A Black Jack resident is accused of committing five armed robberies in the St. Louis area since September.

A federal indictment charges 28-year-old Ronald Perkins with four counts of robbery and five counts relating to gun crimes.

Prosecutors say one of those counts alleges Perkins took a gun across state lines with the intent to commit an armed robbery.

A robbery conviction carries a penalty of up to twenty years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
