Some of the finest displays of facial-hair will be competing this weekend at the 10th Annual St Louis Beard and Mustache Competition.

Joey Rumpell, the Vice President of the St Louis Beard and Mustache Club tells KMOX that she's seeing a trend in facial hair.

"I would say that the styled mustache is pretty popular, I think we've seen a comeback in 'chops' as well, those are nice. And then the full beard that will go as long as the growth will allow," says Rumpell.

Rumpell says for those who can't grow the really big or long beards, there is a category that fits them as well.

"The Business Beard category would be right there for them, you want to make sure that it's nice, and neat and it just looks presentable," says Rumpell. "If you're going to be able to wear it into an office, you've got to look well put together, and that's important."

The 10th Annual St Louis Beard and Mustache Competition is Saturday, August 5 starting at 5pm at the Old Rock House and benefits Dogs for Our Brave.
