ST. LOUIS COUNTY (KMOX) - St. Louis County is taking part in the national "Empty the Shelters" event by cutting its adoption fees.
To help the dogs and cats that are currently with St. Louis County Animal Care and Control find forever homes, all adoptions fees are being cut by 40% – from $40 to $25 – from July 7-11. There are currently 87 animals available for adoption at the shelter.
The fee reduction is made possible by a partnership with the BISSELL Pet Foundation. The quarterly event helps pets find their forever homes through reduced adoption fees at shelters across the country at more than 180 shelters in 40 states.
Dogs and cats that are adopted will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Cats 8 months old and older are tested for FIV/ Felv. For more information or to view photos of the animals, visit stlouiscountymo.gov.
