CLAYTON, Mo. (KMOX) — St. Louis County announced Monday morning that the COVID-19 rate in the area is "stable" enough to ease some restrictions on schools, restaurants and youth sports.
County Executive Sam Page says football games will be allowed to resume in the county, but schools will first need to submit a plan before games for football and other high-frequency contact sports resume. The plan in similar to what the City of St. Louis announced recently.
Games will be limited to a total of 50 spectators and only for players' parents or legal guardians, Page says.
One thing Page noted in his Monday morning briefing was athletic directors seemed more concerned about playing competitive sports again, as opposed to filling the stands with spectators.

Page also announced the capacity for restaurants can be expanded to 50% starting this Wednesday at 5 p.m., however late-night bars are still restricted.
All schools in the county will also be allowed to explore the return to in-person classes.

It would appear this plan will be similar to what the city did, having St. Louis Public Schools work with the Health Department on a path forward.
