ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has charged a 27-year-old man who was found with large quantity of fentanyl and nearly $50,000 in cash.
Mark Wall, has been charged with trafficking drugs in the second degree, tampering with a motor vehicle in the first degree, unlawful possession of an illegal weapon, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful use of a weapon.
According to St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, detectives with the Anti-Crime Task Force were patrolling the Penrose neighborhood when they spotted an Infiniti Q50 with a stolen license plate driving recklessly.
Metro Air assisted detectives with tracking the car until the driver, Wall, ran from the vehicle, which was also stolen.
After arresting Wall, police found a large quantity of suspected fentanyl, nearly $50,000 in cash, and a Glock handgun with a sear switch, which may allow for the firearm to function as a fully-automatic weapon.
Hill remains in custody with no bond allowed.
