ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A St. Louis man pleaded guilty Wednesday to committing three car jackings in St. Louis in 2021, including one that resulted in the death of a 72-year-old man.

Carmain Milton, 50, pleaded guilty to two counts of carjacking and one count of carjacking resulting in death.

From Sept. 21 to Sept. 28, Milton attempted three car jackings, including running over a 72-year-old man over with his own car. The victim died. Milton was carrying a gun in all three robberies.

Among the items Milton stole include three cars, jewelry, an iPhone, a purse and wallet.

Milton was arrested a few hours after this carjacking with a pellet gun in his bag and a wallet belonging to one of the victims from the second carjacking.

Milton faces 18 to 27 years in federal prison after both sides in the case agreed to recommend a sentence between that time range. Milton would've faced a maximum penalty of life in prison or the death sentence for the carjacking death charge alone.

Milton is scheduled to be sentenced April 16.
