ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - St. Louis police have cleared a bomb threat that caused the evacuation of the Saint Louis Art Museum and a shelter-in-place warning at the Missouri History Museum on Tuesday.
No guests were inside either of the museums located in Forest Park when the threat was called into a Park Ranger office, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch. The threat was called in at around 7:45 p.m., hours before the museums open.
Police K-9 units searched and cleared both buildings before anyone else was allowed inside. The Art Museum reopened at noon, two hours later than normal and the History Museum is normally closed on Tuesdays.
No threat was found by police, who had some streets in the park closed for some time this morning.
