Emily Fiasco is the band director in the Mehlville school district -- and, she's a three-time Jeopardy! winner.
Fiasco ended up winning nearly $88,000 during her run on the show, which she said she's been watching for most of her life.
"It's been a lifelong dream, which, I don't know, that makes me sound a little crazy," Fiasco told KMOX. "But I've been trying out since 2008, I had my first audition, I was a sophomore in college and they have a college tournament. So I've gone and like made it to the in-person round five times before I eventually got on."
As a lifelong viewer, she said there were some things about the behind-the-scenes process that surprised her.
"I'm just kind of amazed at how fast the day went. They tape five episodes in a day -- that's the whole week's worth all at once," she said. "So the games are really condensed in their tapes, almost as quick as you see on TV. So the day really flew by."
Fiascoe said her students were very excited for her.
"I'm teaching a band camp this week, actually," she said. "And so I showed up on Monday, and I was trying to check all the kids in and they were all just like, 'I watched you on TV!'"
