For the first time ever, the Rugby World Cup will be held in the United States in 2031 and St. Louis is bidding on being one of the locations.
What does St. Louis have going for it?
"Our location. We always like to stress the accessibility, right? So we're in the middle of the country, you can get to domestically, but with this event being truly a global event, internationally having those additional flights really the timing could not have worked out better with the increase in international flights," says Brad Wachler with the St. Louis Sports Commission.
Wachler says we should know for sure by February if St. Louis will host any games.
