SAINT LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - Saint Louis University researchers are looking for volunteers to take part in another COVID vaccine trial.
It's for an investigational vaccine by Gritstone Bio, designed to provide enhanced protection against a wide variety of SARS-CoV-2 strains. The Director of SLU's Center for Vaccine Development, Dr. Daniel Hoft, says this vaccine candidate promises to train the immune system to recognize a broad range of viral proteins, and may be more protective against all variants to come.
SLU is looking for 17 volunteers -- age 60 or older -- who have already had their primary series of COVID shots plus at least one booster.
