Chesterfield woman charged with statutory sodomy, molestation

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A 25-year-old Chesterfield woman has been charged by St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office with statutory sodomy and molestation.

Brandi James, 25, has been charged with two counts of statutory sodomy or attempted statutory sodomy and one count of third degree child molestation.

According to a probable cause statement, the mother of a 13-year-old girl discovered a diary which stated that the girl allegedly had been sexually involved with James, who was a mentor at House of Deliverance Church, located in the 9300 block of St. Charles Rock Road.

Police says information on the daughter's phone supports allegations that the she and James had engaged in sodomy on at least two occasions. The daughter said that she and James had allegedly engaged in sexual contact over the clothes.

Detectives believe the incidents occurred between Jan. 1, 2022 and Nov. 30, 2022

James allegedly made made admissions to others around her but refused to cooperate with police.

Police says the church has cooperated with the investigation.
