A Festus man and a Jefferson County Sheriff's Deputy are hospitalized during a stolen car investigation. The Sheriff's office says 32 year old Sean Ramsey was being detained Wednesday morning when he reached for the deputy's gun. During a struggle the gun went off. No one was hit. The Deputy got control of Ramsey and both were taken to the hospital for injuries, and both are expected to be fine. Ramsey is charged with multiple crimes including assault on an officer.
