Stolen car slams into unmarked St. Louis Police vehicle; Officer injured

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - A St. Louis Police officer was treated and released from the hospital after his unmarked police car was broadsided by a stolen vehicle before 11:30 Wednesday morning.

Police say the stolen vehicle ran a stop sign at Hamilton and Lotus and slammed into the police car. Two suspects then got out of the car and ran, a 20-year old was arrested, the second suspect got away.

Police recovered firearms and ammunition from the stolen car. Police did not say where the car was stolen from.

The officer was not seriously injured.
