The other women involved in the incident were still at large as of Tuesday morning and anyone with information on the case is asked to call investigators at 618-656-2131.
Police say the suspects were recognized by employees from previous thefts and they called about the suspicious customers.
The woman who was arrested after police chased her down is also wanted in Missouri for failure to appear in court for previous thefts. Edwardsville police are hoping the Illinois State Attorney's Office will seek a felony charge of theft against her.
