Alton, Ill. (KMOX) - Police in Alton are calling it an "absolute tragedy." A teenage girl was killed Friday night in a two-car crash that involved an impaired driver.
Seventeen-year-old Grace Bustos was driving one car with her mother, Meghan, when they collided with another vehicle.
The crash happened around 9 pm at the intersection of Homer Adams Parkway and Seminary Road.
Grace was pronounced dead at the scene. Meghan was airlifted to the hospital in stable condition.
Police say the other driver showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody.
