ST. CHARLES CITY (KMOX) - St. Charles City Fire spokeswoman Kelly Hunsel tells KMOX News, they received a call for an explosion in the 500 block of Transit Street.

When crews arrived, the home was fully engulfed in flames. Hunsel says two pediatric patients and two or three adults have been transported to the hospital, their conditions are not known yet.

As a result of the number of injuries, Hunsel says a multiple casualty was initiated
Hunsel says at this point. it's not clear if there was an explosion and the cause is still not known.
