UNION, MO (KMOX) - There’s a village of tiny homes being built -- just for veterans -- in Union, Missouri. Dan Mense, President of Veterans Way, tells KMOX there's huge demand for housing, "we're getting phone calls pretty much daily now with veterans that unfortunately are on the streets or will be on the streets shortly."
Construction on the first twenty-one tiny homes should be complete later this summer.
Mense says the units will be fully furnished and equipped.
Veterans will have to apply for HUD assistance to qualify.
