SPANISH LAKE, MO (KMOX)-The young girl and a woman were found dead in a north St. Louis County home on Christmas evening have been identified as a mother and daughter.
The bodies of 28-year-old Charese Garvin and her 23-month-old daughter Alayah Butler were found by officers who had been asked to check on the welfare of a resident in a home in the 1500 block of Lakeside Lane. Both had been shot.
Meanwhile, a young child and a woman were shot in St. Louis late Christmas night. Police say they were in a vehicle at Ashland and Lambdin at about 11:40 p.m. when the child was shot in the foot and the 24-year-old woman was shot in a leg. Both are in stable condition. Police haven't released the child's age. There's no word on who shot them or why.
