A former aide to St. Louis County Executive Sam Page is expected to plead guilty to federal corruption charges.
Tony Weaver is scheduled to appear at a change-of-plea hearing, after originally pleading "not guilty" to the charges that say he tried to scam the federal government's COVID relief program.
Weaver, who worked as a "change management coordinator" at the county jail, is accused of trying to fraudulently get COVID relief funds for a local businessman in exchange for a cut of the money.
Weaver was indicted back in May on four felony counts of wire fraud, then was terminated from his position shortly after.
