ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Toyota is putting faith and finances into its Troy, Missouri manufacturing plant.
The company's investing $109 million to revamp its production line.

"The project's been underway. This will just be the completion of the installation of new equipment after we tear out some old equipment to make this new-generation cylinder head," said Toyota-Missouri general manager Terry Henderson.
There won't be any new jobs created by the investment, rather it helps retain the 1100 current positions.
Henderson is hopeful it means the company's three-decade run in Troy will continue for more decades, "We employ team members from 7 or 8 counties within eastern Missouri. So for us, it's just continuing a tradition we've had for the last 30 years, that hopefully goes on for another 30-plus years."
As with most manufacturers today, Henderson says they do have some vacancies they are looking to fill for both skilled and non-skilled full-time positions. The website is www.toyotamanufacturingjobs.com
