ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Over 20 people had to rescued from from some eight tram cars in the Gateway Arch Monday evening.
The problem started before 3:30 in the afternoon. Park management had a tram engineer try to fix the problem, but were unable to.
But then the St. Louis Fire Department had to be called in to free the riders.
There were no reports of injuries. The cause of the problem still is not known, the Northside of the Arch remains closed while crews isolate the problem.
