Wanted child sex crime suspect surrenders

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Just over a week after charges were filed, a man accused of committing a child sex crime is taken into custody in St. Louis County.

Police say 48-year-old Julian Jones Sr. of Castle Point surrendered on Saturday, one day after CrimeStoppers asked the public for information on his whereabouts.

Police had said he was known to be in the St. Louis and O'Fallon Illinois areas.

Jones faces a second-degree statutory rape charge.

Investigators reportedly have evidence tying the suspect to the pregnancy of a victim under the age of 17.

Bond was set at $150,000.
