ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - 2025 is going to be a really big year for World Wide Technology Raceway.

The raceway, located in Madison, Illinois, already annually hosts the Enjoy Illinois 300 for NASCAR Cup Series and the Bommarito Automotive Group 500 in IndyCar. Now, the racetrack will have more races on its calendar, with NASCAR announcing Thursday the racetrack will host an Xfinity race and a NASCAR Cup Series race in 2025.

As part of the 2025 NASCAR schedule, the Enjoy Illinois 300 will shift from it's annual spot on the first week of June and move to Sept. 7, 2025, marking the race as the second round of the 10-event NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs.

"The St. Louis region is accustomed to great playoff event memories with the Blues, Cardinals and other sports teams over the years and now we can finally add NASCAR to that esteemed list," said Curtis Francois, World Wide Technology Raceway owner and CEO. "NASCAR selecting us for a prized Cup Series Playoff race is a tribute to all the support, especially from our dedicated fans, that they witnessed the first three years we hosted sold-out races."

A day before the Enjoy Illinois 300, the track will host a NASCAR Xfinity Series race on Sept. 6, 2025. The race will mark the first time in 14 years the track has hosted a Xfinity Race. From 1997-2010, the track hosted 15 Xfinity Series races, including two in 2010.

"Ever since I purchased and reopened the track, one of the most-asked questions has been 'When will the Xfinity Series come back?'", said Francois. "I’m happy to finally share with our loyal fans that they are coming back in 2025. We greatly appreciate NASCAR’s willingness to reunite us with the Xfinity Series, which previously had been a staple and fan favorite at this facility."

In addition, the NASCAR Confluence Festival will return to the track for that race weekend in September 2025.

When NASCAR made it way to the St. Louis region in June, it was a massive success, with the race weekend seeing capacity crowds.

World Wide Technology Raceway’s ticket office is now accepting ticket deposits and renewals for NASCAR weekend packages. For additional information, you can head to their website or information, or contact the ticket office at (618) 215-8888.
