ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Missouri Gov. Mike Parson over the weekend visited Texas to see the ongoing border crisis in Texas.
Parson, along with 13 Republicans joined Texas Gov. Greg Abbott for a security briefing in Eagle Pass, Texas and after the briefing, Parson announced Missouri will send more National Guard troops to Texas to help secure the southern U.S. border.
My fellow Governors and I are here at the southern border learning how we can best support Texas in working to end the crisis at our border.

We'd much rather fight this fight here than in our own backyards in Missouri. A strong southern border leads to a stronger Missouri. pic.twitter.com/GnVOUCqTDe
Parson recently made the trip back to Jefferson City and Tuesday he joined Chris Rongey and Amy Marxkors on the Chris and Amy Show Tuesday to discuss his trip to visit the Southern Border in Texas and his takeaways from it.
