Baby, now they got bad blood!

Olivia Troye, the homeland security, counterterrorism, and coronavirus adviser to former Vice President Mike Pence, shared in an interview that she was not allowed to listen to Taylor Swift in her office because the singer wasn’t a fan of former President Trump.

One day, after getting into an argument and listening to Swift so she could blow off steam, Troye was asked by a coworker if she was ‘trying to get fired.”

Thinking the question was about her being blunt in a meeting, Troye told MSNBC that it was actually over the pop star.

“I don’t think she’s a fan of Trump’s,” Troye said her colleague told her after asking what they were talking about. “And so, if somebody hears that, you should really watch your back. You should be careful on that.”

Troye later resigned from her role in the White House in August 2020. After doing so, she endorsed Joe Biden for president.

However, Pence’s national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Keith Kellog, has claimed that he fired Troye, according to Politico.

Troye now serves as the director of the Republican Accountability Project. The organization is focused on defending democracy and is anti-Trump. It is also working to hold those who tried to overturn the last election accountable.

Swift had remained silent about her political beliefs until she announced she would be voting blue in the 2018 midterm elections. She later tweeted in 2020 at Trump, saying, “We will vote you out in November.”

After leaving her position with the administration, Troye can now put her music on shuffle without worrying about any repercussions.

“I’m allowed to listen to whatever music I want,” she said.
