Amazon backtracked its comment to a viral social media post that claimed some of its employees are relieving themselves in unconventional ways.

A few weeks ago, the tech giant responded on Twitter to a rumor that sometimes, its employees are forced to pee into bottles while on the clock. They essentially called the rumors ridiculous, and that if they were true, "nobody would work for us."

Well, turns out the rumors are probably true.

Last Friday, Amazon issued a statement and public apology where they admitted that delivery drivers for many companies – including their own –sometimes have difficulty finding spots to use the restroom, especially because of the pandemic.

According to CNET, the statement read, "[They] can and do have trouble finding restrooms . . . and this has been especially the case during Covid when many public restrooms have been closed.

Amazon did say they are actively looking for solutions to the bathroom problem with its drivers, they just don't know how yet. The company said, "Regardless of the fact that this is industry-wide, we would love to solve it. We don't yet know how, but will look for solutions."
