The youngest son of former President Donald Trump, Barron Trump, made his debut at one of his father’s rallies on Tuesday, sparking a huge response from those gathered.

According to the Associated Press, the 18-year-old Trump had never appeared at his father’s campaign rallies, often staying out of the political spotlight.

“Barron Trump! This is the first time he’s ever done it, Barron,” Trump said during the rally in Doral, Florida, on Tuesday.

While Trump’s other sons have often been key figures in the former president’s campaigns and cabinet, the recent high school graduate has mostly stayed out of the public eye. Like his mother, Melania Trump, Barron has not been at any of his father’s political events, including his debate with President Joe Biden last month.

However, on Tuesday, Barron showed up for his father, standing up and waving to supporters in attendance at his father’s request.

“That’s the first time he’s done it. That’s the first time, right?” Trump said. “You’re pretty popular. He might be more popular than Don and Eric. We gotta talk about this. Hey Don, we gotta talk about this.”

The former president went on to say that Barron was a “very good guy” and boasted about how the college-bound Trump got into every school he applied to as the crowd continued to cheer for him.

“So Barron, it’s good to have you,” Trump said, adding that Barron “had such a nice, easy life. Now, it’s a little bit changed.”

Trump also took time after the event to post photos of Barron waving to the crowd and pumping his fist on Truth Social.
