You can't blame him for being hungry. A wild bear was caught inside a California man's home helping himself to a bucket of Kentucky Fried Chicken.
John Holden, a Sierra Madre man, said that he was surprised when he got home and found his front door wide open, ABC7 reported.
When Holden entered the home, he noticed the animal on the kitchen counter, scarfing down the bucket of chicken.
Holden was met by another bear outside of his house, most likely serving as the bear-lookout, and there was at least one more inside of his home. He was able to get them to vacate the property after making some loud noises.
Holden shared with ABC7 that he had never had a bear make it inside his house despite seeing them frequently.
"I've had a lot of other encounters with them. I've actually had them bump into me a couple times in the backyard, but definitely never in the house like that. That was something else, and they sure made a mess of the place," Holden told ABC7.
For why the animals were so adamant about getting into his home, Holden blames it on the Colonel's secret recipe as he thinks the smell of the chicken was too tempting to resist. He added that they even lounged in his yard after leaving his house.
