Former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly shared some advice for former President Donald Trump on Monday, saying that he only needed to hit on President Biden’s record to win the 2024 election, saying he should stay out of “crazy land.”

O’Reilly’s comments came while he guested on NewsNation’s show “On Balance” and was asked if an “undisciplined Trump” would boost Biden’s standing in the polls.

“It won’t matter, no matter what Donald Trump says in a political setting,” O’Reilly said.

He went on to say that “people are numb to” Trump’s more colorful commentary, adding that to many it’s “entertaining.”

O’Reilly then said the “real advantage” Trump has is Biden’s presidency “blowing up before our eyes.”

The former Fox News host said that Biden has faced several issues during his almost four years in office, including a crisis at the border, the fentanyl crisis, and how the White House has dealt with ongoing wars in Ukraine and Israel.

With his current record, O’Reilly says that the average person can’t help but see Biden’s presidency as a failure.

“The basic person at home has gone, ‘Biden stands for nothing, he’s got no principles. He’s a disaster. ...technically, with inflation and the border and everything else,’” he said.

Because of this, O’Reilly says that Trump shouldn’t sway from hammering Biden on his policies during his rallies and speeches.

“So that’s what Trump has — a melting down president, and he should exploit that and stay out of crazy land,” O’Reilly said, adding, “But as you point out, that’s easier said than done for Donald Trump.”

The comments from O’Reilly come after Trump’s massive weekend rally on the Jersey Shore, where he raised some eyebrows when he praised Hannibal Lecter, the infamous cannibal from the movie “Silence of the Lambs.”

“Has anyone ever seen ‘The Silence of the Lambs’? The late, great Hannibal Lecter. He’s a wonderful man. He, oftentimes, would have a friend for dinner. Remember the last scene? ‘Excuse me, I’m about to have a friend for dinner,’ as this poor doctor walked by. ‘I’m about to have a friend for dinner.’ But Hannibal Lecter. Congratulations. The late, great Hannibal Lecter,” Trump said.

Trump’s comments came while he was comparing migrants to Lecter, once again saying that the migrants crossing the border were violent criminals or were coming from other countries’ “insane asylums.”

The former president then went on to say that unless he is reelected, the country is “going to be doomed.”

“We have people that have been released into our country that we don’t want in our country, and they’re coming in totally unchecked, totally unvetted. And we can’t let this happen. They’re destroying our country, and we’re sitting back,” Trump said. “And we better damn well win this election because if we don’t, our country is going to be doomed.”
