While speaking on "Sunday Night in America," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said that he believes there is a "double standard" in federal law enforcement that could cause an outbreak of violence among Americans, specifically Trump supporters.
Graham spoke about the FBI raid of former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate, saying that he feels there is a two-tier legal system that only benefits President Joe Biden.
"Most Republicans, including me, believes when it comes to Trump, there is no law. It's all about getting him," Graham said. "There is a double standard when it comes to Trump. What happened with Hunter Biden is that the FBI weighed in to make sure the story didn't break before the 2020 election."
The comments come after reports surfaced that Facebook held back information about Hunter Biden's laptop after the company was requested to do so by the FBI.
"We now have whistleblowers at the FBI telling Sen. [Chuck] Grassley that they were told to slow down and back off Hunter Biden," Graham said.
However, Graham also took time to compare Trump’s actions to former first lady Hillary Clinton who was also under fire for her mishandling of documents while serving as Secretary of State.
"I'll say this, if there is a prosecution of Donald Trump for mishandling classified information after the Clinton debacle … there will be riots in the street," he said.
Republicans have received slack for their attacks against the FBI and law enforcement since the Mar-a-Lago raid, but Graham shared that he is worried about how the agency operates.
"I love the law. I've never been more worried about the law in politics as I am right now. How can you tell a conservative Republican that the system works when it comes to President Trump?" he asked.
The Senator went on to warn again that "riots" would break out if Trump were prosecuted, adding that he is worried about the country.
"If they tried to prosecute President Trump for mishandling classified information after Hillary Clinton set up a server in her basement, there literally will be riots in the street," he said.
