An Alabama high school football coach was placed on administrative leave last week after video surfaced of a man suspected to be him spanking a player, according to numerous reports.

Blount High School hired Joshua Harris at the beginning of the football season, but Harris was not present at last week’s game or Tuesday night’s JV game, according to Fox 10.

The Mobile County Public Schools would not say why, but confirmed that Harris is on administrative leave pending an investigation.

His absence comes after a social media post surfaced that shows a coach spanking a player inside the locker room. It is not known who the player or coach is.

Harris had played for the Blount leopards while he was in school, but had not coached for the team prior, NBC 15 reported.

While the investigation continues he will not be present at this week’s game.
