Former President Donald Trump made yet another return to the social media platform X on Monday, posting for the first time in almost a year ahead of his interview with the platform’s owner, Elon Musk.
Trump, who was banned from the platform in 2021 following the Jan. 6 Capitol riots, has rarely posted on the social media platform formerly known as Twitter since having his account reinstated by Musk.
Trump made his return to X on Aug. 24, 2023, after a more than two-year absence, posting a link to his website with a photo of his mugshot from Fulton County Jail.
However, since Monday morning, Trump has posted a series of campaign advertisements titled “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
“Are you better off now than you were when I was president? Our economy is shattered. Our border has been erased. We’re a nation in decline,” Trump wrote in a post from Monday morning. “Make the American Dream AFFORDABLE again. Make America SAFE again. Make America GREAT Again!”
The former president also posted a campaign video bashing presumptive Democratic nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, saying, “MEET SAN FRANCISCO RADICAL KAMALA HARRIS!”
The ads Trump posted showed his rise to the presidency as well as his legal battles throughout the past year. In three hours, it has gained more than 15 million views with 100,000 reposts.
Musk, who was responsible for bringing Trump back to the platform, is set to interview the former president on Trump’s official account at 8 p.m. EST.
The interview is supposed to be a “live conversation” and will be “unscripted with no limits on subject matter,” Musk wrote in a post on Sunday.
Musk has been vocal in his support for Trump in recent weeks and openly endorsed him in the hours after the attempted assassination last month. He has also vowed to support his reelection bid financially.
