Former President Donald Trump is turning himself into authorities once again, this time for charges stemming from his efforts to overturn election results in Georgia.

On Monday evening, Trump shared on his social media platform Truth Social that he would turn himself over at Fulton County jail this coming Thursday.

“Can you believe it? I’ll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime DISASTERS in American History,” Trump wrote.

Trump went on to try and downplay the charges that are being brought against him by Willis, saying that he didn’t kill anyone and only made a phone call.

“In my case, the trip to Atlanta is not for ‘Murder,’ but for making a PERFECT PHONE CALL! She campaigned, and is continuing to campaign, and raise money on, this WITCH HUNT. This is in strict coordination with Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ,” Trump posted. “It is all about ELECTION INTERFERENCE!”

Willis is accusing Trump of being the head of a “criminal enterprise” for his efforts to change election results in the state.

In total, she has brought 41 charges against the 18 people indicted alongside Trump and 13 against the former president himself.

The group was all charged under the state’s Racketeer Influenced Corrupt Organizations (RICO) law. They have until this Friday to turn themselves over to the authorities.

Earlier on Monday, Trump agreed to a bond set at $200,000, according to court filings.

Trump has also been subjected to stricter rules than what his co-defendants face, as he has been forbidden from intimidating any of those being tried alongside him or any witnesses. This includes any “indirect threat of any nature” and posts on social media.

Thursday is also the first day of the 2024 GOP presidential nominee debate, something that Trump has decided to skip.
