The lucky parents of the baby birds, Harriet and her mate M15, have been taking turns guarding and incubating the eggs while hunting around their nest for more than a month now.
The eagles’ nest is located on the Dick Pritchett Real Estate family farm and has been watched on cameras by bird lovers awaiting the special moment.
Experts know that the hatching could come any time now as a small crack was seen on one of the eggs in the nest on Sunday morning.
Baby birds will use their egg tooth to chip out of their shell, a process that usually takes from 12 to 72 hours, according to the farm.
The eagles have been observed for the past 10 years when the Pritchetts first installed three cameras around their nest.
The video has allowed the world to watch the eagles and experience their big moments, like Harriet laying eggs for the first time, making the female bald eagle and M15 internet sensations.
Now, as the world awaits the hatching of the baby birds, thousands are watching the 24-hour Livestream in anticipation.
The first egg was laid on Nov. 20 and the second three days later, marking the 22nd and 23rd eggs that Harriet has laid since the cameras were installed in 2012.
The bald eagles have an average incubation period of 35 days, meaning they could be hatched very soon, according to Southwest Florida Eagle Cam.
