ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - Donald Trump is heading back to the White House after he won the presidential race against Kamala Harris on Election Night earlier this week.

Trump, who will receive a second term, had a big win Tuesday night, where he will become the first Republican in 20 years to not only win the Electoral College, but also win the popular vote.

Trump managed to win nearly every Battleground state this election campaign, with the exception of Arizona and Nevada, whose results have not yet been called yet but Trump does have a lead in both states as of Friday.

KMOX Political Analysts John Hancock and Michael Kelley gave their takes on the 2024 Election on 'Total Information A.M.' Friday.

Kelley, a longtime Democratic strategist, and previously predicted Harris would win the presidential race, says the results were "gutting for him and he did see this coming."

"Not only did it come, but it was overwhelming," said Kelley on Total Information A.M. "He won everyone, everywhere nearly and it really sent my party on a tailspin."

"I know some people are Monday morning quarterbacking and they got all these answers, etc. But I don't know what the answer is other than to sit and lick your wounds and sit back and hope this guy's successful. He has promised a lot of things that be done, even before he got there, so we ought to hold him accountable."

Hancock, who was the former Missouri Republican Chair and previously predicted a Trump win, discussed some of the promises Trump has made, which included Trump promising gas and egg prices could go down.

"I think gas prices could come down, but tariffs are going to be inflationary," said Hancock. "If (Trump) is in imposes them the way he's talked about, if he uses them as a negotiating posture, that could work. So hope for the best."
