ST. LOUIS (KMOX) - While St. Louis City SC lost 3-0 to Vancouver Whitecaps, the club still clinched the top seed in the Western Conference for the MLS Playoffs this week and team is preparing for their maiden playoff voyage in the MLS.
The club announced Thursday tickets for St. Louis City SC playoffs games will go on sale Friday, Oct. 13th at 2 p.m.
City SC season tickets holders will get priority access and can begin purchasing tickets at 10 a.m. Oct. 13.
The first round of the MLS playoffs begin on Oct. 28 and it is a best of three series. Since St. Louis City SC is the top seed, they will host the first and potentially, third game if needed.
St. Louis City SC will play the winner of the Western Conference Wild Card Match, which the eighth and ninth seed will square off for a trip to St. Louis.
Currently, the San Jose Earthquakes and FC Dallas hold both respective seeds, but Austin FC, Sporting Kansas City and Minnesota United FC are only three points behind, leaving the Wild Card picture still up in the air with two matches to go for a majority of the teams.
FC Dallas does have a game in hand, as they still need to make up their match against the Colorado Rapids.
Under the MLS playoffs rules for the first round, if any match is still level after 90 minutes, no extra time will be played in the first round and the match will instead go straight to penalty kicks to decide the winner, similar to the English Football League early round rules for the Carabao Cup in England.
