What-a-line! Cars in line for Missouri's first Whataburger stretch onto highway

(KMOX) - The Whataburger craze has officially hit Missouri as the chain's first location in the state opened on Monday. And the line that afternoon was something to behold.

The doors opened to the store in Lee's Summit, Missouri at 11 a.m. and there was an immediate line stretching down the road:

And after just 15 minutes, the line was officially on the nearby interstate:

The line continued for the entire day and into the evening, with many others on social media sharing photos:

Whataburger will be opening 30 Whataburger restaurants in the Kansas City area over the next seven years, thanks to the help of Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes. As of now, the closet locations to St. Louis are in Arkansas.

Within the next few weeks, there will be another Whataburger just 15 minutes away from the Lee's Summit location.
