Franklin County deputies arrived on the scene in the 2400 block of Highway TT around 5:10 p.m. and found the body of Leann Gratzer, 61, laying in the front yard, says Sheriff Steve Pelton. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The dogs were owned by a relative and she was walking up towards the home when she was mauled, police say.

Pelton says the dogs include two males and a female, two are pit bulls and the other is a mixed-breed, reports Fox 2. The dogs were turned over to authorities.

"Our thoughts and prayers go to (the) victim's family," Pelton said.
