BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – A family from Rochester, Ill. is asking for help finding their dog, which was inside their running SUV when it was stolen over the weekend in Bloomington.
According to Blomington police the family had just checked in to the Element hotel at the Mall of America late Saturday when the car vanished.
The family had parked outside the building, left the vehicle running, with their young border collie Remy inside.
Riswan Siwani posted on his Facebook page that he and his family are asking everyone's help to rescue their dog and find their vehichle.
Records from Lost Dogs Minnesota show Remy is a male border collie puppy who is not quite a year old.
Surveillance video from the hotel is now in the hands of police.
The missing vehicle is a 2017 Kia Sorrento with Minnesota licence plate number AXE459.
