SAINT LOUIS, MO (KMOX) - Dangerous temperatures ahead in the latest heat wave to hit the St. Louis region.
The worst of the heat and humidity will press in Tuesday and stretch at least through Friday. Highs will reach the mid to upper 90's, with the heat index reaching up to 105 degrees.
The Midwest isn't the only region dealing with extreme temperatures. The interior West and High Plains are expected to meet or exceed dozens of record highs as temperatures soar past the century mark.
The latest forecast from AccuWeather:
• Today-Sunny. Warm and humid. High 88.
• Tonight-Clear and humid. Low 73.
• Tuesday-Sunny and hot. High 96.
AccuWeather Real Feel temperatures could reach near or above 105 degrees from Tuesday afternoon through week's end, at least.
