There was a scary moment on live television during an ESPN Colombia broadcast when part of the set suddenly collapsed onto journalist Carlos Orduz.
Orduz was sitting on the end of the left side of the desk during a segment when the wall behind him came crashing down, slamming into his back and knocking him into the desk.
The camera immediately cuts away to the anchor who looks frightened while someone off camera is heard saying “tranquilo, tranquilo,” which is Spanish for “relax” or “calm.”
The show then cut to a commercial.
Luckily, Orduz turned out to be OK after the incident. He tweeted that he was only bruised and that he took a “blow to the nose” but no fracture, according to a translation of his tweet.
Per Google translator, the tweet is translated to read: “To those who wrote to me and greeted me about the accident last night, I must tell you that I am fine, thank God after the medical check-up, the respective examinations, any issue was ruled out, only a bruise and a blow to the nose (no fracture)/ Greetings and thanks.”
