Joining Megan Lynch to talk about what forecasters are seeing with this fall's expected El Niño, AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Chad Merrill explains that it comes from a warming of the equatorial Pacific Ocean and results in extra rain in the western part of the US as well as the south & warmer temperature patters. This will be the strongest since 1997-1998 and could result in more/stronger tropical storms and hurricanes in the Atlantic and Pacific.
