During the Y98 halftime show, Jen Siess visited in-booth with CITY’s Sporting Director, Corey Wray. Wray explained his work in carefully planning the CITY roster around Coach Yoann Damet’s system to build a long-term foundation for the team that will continue to also raise its ceiling in performance. Amid the rumors of CITY possibly landing a DP #9, Wray talked about the importance of finding the right qualities in any player to make a good match for the roster and style of play, with the importance of getting it right over doing it quickly. Finally, whether signing a striker or scoring by committee, Wray shared the club’s top-down philosophy that continues to drive results despite major two major roster changes.
