The Kansas Department of Health and Environment reported the number of positive COVID-19 cases is 44 as of Friday conference, but a new case in Riley County will bring it up to 45.
Julie Gibbs, local health officer in Riley County, issued an order prohibiting all public gatherings of more than 10 people, effective at 12:01 a.m. Saturday, March 21.
Most of the cases are in the Kansas City area. The numbers include one death. On Thursday afternoon, Kansas had 34 cases.
The state says the number of positive tests has stayed around 4%. The rest are negative.
Tests have been conducted at 17 private labs and 27 Kansas Department of Health and Environment labs. Two of the cases were out-of-state cases. Below is the breakdown of the numbers.
