Two more earthquakes rumbled through the northeast part of Wichita Thursday morning in a five-hour period.
The first quake Thursday occurred at 2:34 a.m.; the Kansas Geological Survey estimated it as a 2.9-magnitude earthquake, centered to the northeast of Central & Greenwich, not far from the Beech factory airport runway.
The follow-up earthquake Thursday happened at 7:36 a.m.; the U.S. Geological Survey measured it as a 2.7-magnitude quake, centered at the Wichita Country Club golf course near 13th & Rock.
This gives Wichita seven earthquakes since Thanksgiving, including four in the past three days.
The highest magnitude during this recent series was 3.3-magnitude quake late Tuesday morning, centered near 21st & Webb.
