A 4 year-old girl is dead and a 16-year-old injured after a shooting in Garden City Wednesday.
The shooting call came in around 12:45 p.m. in the area of Abe Hubert Elementary School.
When Garden Police officers arrived, they found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.
While officers were investigating the incident in the parking lot of the school, they learned of a second shooting in the 1300 block of north 12th Street. When officers arrived there, they found a 4-year-old girl with a gunshot wound. She was transported by Finney County EMS to a local hospital where she later died.
31-year-old Justin Franco was taken into custody without incident.
Officers say the shootings occurred as a result of a domestic dispute.
