Late Wednesday night lawmakers in Topeka passed a coronavirus bill, similar to the one vetoed last month by Governor Laura Kelly.
Rep. Jim Ward, a Wichita democrat, attempted to add a Medicaid expansion to the bill, which failed. Another democrat attempted to extend eviction and foreclosure relief, but that also failed.
The bill now heads to the Senate.
