In a list compiled by Move.org, Wichita came in as the second-most affordable city in the U.S., while El Paso, TX. took the top spot.
Move.org, a website dedicated to moving companies, researched things like rent prices, utility costs, gas prices, and internet rates in the 75 most populous US cities to learn which are the most affordable.
The least affordable cities are concentrated on the coasts. The bottom five are San Jose, Boston, Oakland, New York, and in the least affordable spot, San Francisco.
Counting up the most affordable are number five Lexington, Kentucky, number four Tucson, Arizona, and number three Lincoln, Nebraska. Wichita is the only city in Kansas on the list.
While Wichita's fuel and food costs were actually lower than El Paso's, the city's utility and rent prices were a bit higher. According to the study, the monthly cost to live in Wichita is $1,393.44.
